The RF tuner unit of all LG TVs is absolutely substandard. It is likely to get damaged due to voltage fluctuations on TV cable. As an afterthought LG has added an isolator and does not entertain warranty if they think that the cable was connected without the isolator. Interestingly my new LG TV was damaged from the cable on which two other Old Sony TVs were also connected none of which failed.
My advise is DON’T BUY LG.
